The first leg of the Champions League semi final saw Bayern Munich beat Real Madrid 2-1. Bayern’s winner came in the last couple minutes of the game and they will be able to take hope from the win and have confidence that they can do more of the same in the leg on Wednesday 25th April. In spite of this my free betting advice would be to still back Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid to beat Bayern Munich and be in the finals of the Champions League.
Real Madrid seemed to be satisfied with a draw and the late winner from the German team came as quite a surprise. Even with Cristian Ronaldo failing to score and Real’s defense struggling at times with Gomez, one would still believe that Real Madrid will have the confidence and home support to do what is required to progress to the finals. Bookmakers seem to agree with this, as Skybet have Real Madrid 1/2 favorites to beat Bayern on the 25th April. Furthermore, betting for who will be finalists, still have a Barcelona/Real Madrid final as favorite, priced at 10/11.
Betting blog sites will have more on this subject, especially as the second leg for all four team draws near. Most punters will think that Barcelona will again be winners of the competition, but I quite fancy Real Madrid to do the unthinkable and take this title and La Liga this year! I know it’s crazy, but that’s the beauty of football betting in general, punters usually go with their heart, instead of their head!
