Andy Murray gets Shanghai-ed by Djokovic

We all know that Andy Murray has been on fire this year from his near misses, the success of the Summer Olympics to finally winning the US Open Final. Betting blog sites were all buzzing on the adrenaline of Murray’s past two title wins and after his victory against the mighty Federer on his way to the Shanghai Finals, there was definitely huge expectation that Andy would be able to defeat Novak again to achieve a hat trick of titles.

However, Novak Djokovic didn’t happen to read that script. The first set was taken by Andy Murray, to the frustration of Novak, who smashed his racket in the set that had seven breaks of serve! The second set saw the heart and tremendous character of Djokovic who had to save five match points and win a tie break to eventually take this set. The momentum then took Novak to take the third and the Shanghai Masters title, his fifth title of 2012!

With everything leading up this finals going so well for Andy Murray, few online betting fans would have had the audacity to go for a straight set win by Novak. But this is why sport is the most interesting of past times and always makes for great betting! The finals in Shanghai could have been won by any of the two players, as numerous points were won by the most minimal of margins.

With this in mind, the British Number One still has what it takes to win more titles in months and years to come!
